By accessing the CEDR Website and using any content found therein, you (the “User”) acknowledge that you have fully read and understood, and agree to be bound by, these Terms of Use.

I. Use of CEDR Material
The Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR) encourages the use of its data and publications available on the CEDR Website (collectively, the “Material”). Unless otherwise stated, all Material on the CEDR Website is the intellectual property of CEDR and protected by copyright or other similar rights.

No Association
The User may neither represent nor imply that CEDR has participated in, approved, endorsed or otherwise supported his or her use or reproduction of the Material. The User may not claim any affiliation with CEDR. For information about use of the CEDR name, acronym and logo, please see Section IV below.

Material created by third parties
Some Material found on the CEDR Website may be created by, or incorporate the content of, third parties. The User is responsible for verifying whether this is the case and, if so, securing the appropriate permissions from these third parties before using such Material.

Permitted use
You may use the content contained in CEDR publications without modification, for non-commercial purposes, provided you cite the copyright and title.

II. Use of contact information
You shall not do any of the following with any of the contact information that may be found on the CEDR Website:

  • defame, abuse, harass, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights of others;
  • publish, post, distribute or disseminate any defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful material;
  • upload or attach files that contain software or other material protected by intellectual property laws unless the User owns or controls the rights thereto or has received all necessary permissions;
  • upload or attach files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer;
  • upload, e-mail, transmit or otherwise make available unsolicited advertising of any goods or services, or conduct or forward surveys, contests, “spam” or chain letters; etc.

CEDR reserves the right to deny, at its sole discretion, any User’s IP address access to the CEDR Website or any portion thereof without notice.

You specifically acknowledge and agree that CEDR is not liable for any conduct of any other User, including, but not limited to, the types of conduct listed above.

The use of contact information for unauthorised purposes may also be subject to litigation and/or prosecution under the relevant national laws applicable.

III. Linking to the CEDR Website, use of CEDR name, Accronym and Logo
In order to promote its work, and because linking is an essential aspect of the Internet, CEDR encourages a User who maintains an external website to include hyperlinks to the CEDR Website on that external site without having to ask prior permission, under the following conditions:

These hyperlinks must not:

  • Infringe CEDR’s rights, in particular relating to its name, logo, acronym and intellectual property rights;
  • be used for the promotion of an organisation or company, or of any commercial products or services.

Consequently, if you link to the CEDR Website, you must refrain from creating frames, or using other visual altering tools, around the CEDR Website;
